Your adventure begins with a comfortable drive through snow-covered forests and frozen rivers, offering a glimpse into Alaska’s pristine interior. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to soak in the outdoor hot springs, where steaming geothermal waters provide the perfect contrast to the crisp Arctic air.

Explore the enchanting Aurora Ice Museum, a year-round frozen art gallery made entirely of ice and snow—featuring sculpted bedrooms, an ice bar, and even an ice chandelier. With plenty of time to relax, grab a bite at the on-site restaurant (meals not included), or enjoy the peaceful scenery before your return to Fairbanks.

What To Expect

 
  • Chena Hot Spring Resort — Located 60 scenic miles from downtown Fairbanks. Soak in Chena Hot Springs Resort’s legendary healing mineral waters. You can either soak in the outside rock pool, enjoy a swim in the inside pool, or chill in the Resort’s Hot Tub. The amount of time is flexible. 
  • Aurora Ice Museum — Be awestruck by the glorious sculptures in the Aurora Ice Museum at Chena Hot Spring Resort – open year round. We will then enjoy a guided tour through the Aurora Ice Museum which was built with over 1.000 tons of ice and snow and kept year-round at a temperature of 25F (-7C)

  • Only allow the age of 5+ to participate
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers
  • Please bring bathing suits, shower slippers, bath towels, at least 2 quarters for each locker, and picture IDs for the ice museum

Cancellation & Disclaimers

Refund

  • You can cancel your trip with no reason for a full/partial refund. Reschedule is FREE!
  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 7 days before the experience’s start time.
  • 50% of the total price will be applied as a cancellation fee if guests cancel the trip 2-7 days before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 48 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded. 

We are aware that sometimes urgencies and illness prevent our customers from taking their tour. As this is always a possibility, we highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance as soon as possible.

Late Arrival / No-shows

Punctuality is extremely important when traveling with a group. Our waiting policy is limited. If guests do not arrive within 15 minutes, the guest will be considered a no-show and no refund will be given. This policy pertains to all our tours, and Alaska Arctic Expeditions, LLC is not responsible for delayed or missed appointments.

Cancellation Prompted By Us

Guest safety is our major priority, hence we reserve the right to cancel or alter any itinerary as conditions require. Any changes made will be in the interest of Alaska Arctic Expeditions passengers or as a result of circumstances beyond our control.  Should we need to cancel a tour, we will refund 100%. In case of partial cancellation, we will do a partial but fair refund.

Outside Scope of Our Liability

Alaska can be dangerous. Alaska Arctic Expeditions LLC will not be responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or death to any and all Alaska Arctic Expeditions passengers/guests, including but not limited to allergic reactions to any substance or food. Alaska Arctic Expeditions is not responsible for missed reservations, nor lost, stolen, or damaged property.  Passengers/guests of Alaska Arctic Expeditions, LLC are responsible for any damage they cause to our equipment or vehicles.
